It just keeps getting more and more hurtful. Here are some numbers:
$38 BILLION-- Big Oil's most recent reported profit.
3 MONTHS-- How long it took them to make that profit January to March.
ALMOST NONE-- What Big Oil claims to be their profit from increased gas prices.
2%-- Drop in US gas usage in the last three months
0-- The amount Big Oil dropped gas prices because of this 2% drop.
BIG TIME-- the amount Big Oil would have raised gas prices with a 2% increase in usage.
$4.37-- Price of gas here in Spring Grove, Illinois, last night.
NEW RECORD-- This is the highest I've ever seen gas prices, even beating out how high it was the last time Big Oil did this.
THREE-- The number of road trips I have cancelled so far because of the gouge.
