George "Pops" Chambers, singer and bassist of  influential sixties psych-soul  band Chambers Brothers.

The group active in late sixties to early seventies, best known for their eleven minute song "Time Has Come Today"  (#11-1968) and "I Can't Turn You Loose"  (#37-1968).

Two of my favorite songs.  I especially like "Time has Come Today" when changing clocks for Daylight Savings Time.
