Pianist / composer / producer (pop / rock) notably for writing songs in the 1977 album "Bat Out of Hell" by Meatloaf.
He also produced chart singles:
"Total Eclipse of the Heart" -- Bonnie Tyler
"Making Love Out of Nothing At All"-- Air Supply
"I'd Do Anything for Love (But I Won't Do That)"-- Meatloaf
If he never wrote another song than "Paradise By the Dashboard Light" he'd still be a favorite songwriter of mine.
