WLS Top 30 for Week of May 10, 1971-- Part 2: 'I Am .. I Said'

*  Means it is climbing the charts.  The number behind the artist is how high the song got on the Billboard Hot 100 National Chart.

25.  HOT LOVE--  T. Rex      #72    Never heard it before, but good song.   British rock band led by Marc Bolan.  Their next song was "Bang a Gong (Get It On."  That was their only ever Top Ten song.

24.  I AM ... I SAID--  Neil Diamond     #4    Born Noah Kaminsky in 941.

23.  *(GIVE MORE) POWER TO THE PEOPLE--  Chi-Lites      #26     Actual title "For God's Sake) Give More Power to the People."     Love the start of it.

22.  *SHE'S NOT JUST ANOTHER WOMAN--  Eight Day   (The 8th Day)      #11    Pure funk from the Invictus label.  The same label that had the Chairman of the Board.   Five man, three woman group assembled by Holland-Dozier-Holland.

21.  *LOVE'S MADE A FOOL OF YOU--  Cochise    #96   Updating a Buddy Holly classic originally written in 1958.  I would have thought this song would have gone higher.
