Tournament Time: CB&C and B-Ball

MARCH 21--  THURSDAY

I should mention that I got my third corned beef and cabbage dinner at the Fox Lake (Illinois) seniors luncheon earlier and were entertained by an Irish performer.  Good Irish food and entertainment.

I am also glad now that we have complete choice as to what games we see since they are all shown from beginning to end on four different channels:  CBS, TBS, TNT and True TV.  That used to drive me crazy when we had to watch Duke blowing out some #15 or #16 team when we could see that there was a close one or upset in the offing on another channel.

With me, it is all about close games and upsets.

And, I still remember when they experimented with the triple screen (they showed three games at once).  That made it impossible to figure out what was going on.

Highlight of the day was Kentucky getting upset by  Oakland. Oakland?  Had to look it up.  It  is in Michigan.  I am not a fan of Kentucky in any way.  It was one of the original one-and-doner schools.  Then, I ended up staying awake until nearly midnight when Samford took Kansas down to the wire in what would also have been a major upset.  They lost by four.  I am a Kansas fan, but Samford is a major Little Guy school.

By the way, Samford is in Alabama.

New TV Season Begins This Week-- Part 1: Sundays

And, I watch way too much TV to go along with my way too much blogging.  Oh well, keeps me busy.

I like my TV shows and watch a whole lot of them from 7 to 10 p.m. five nights a week.  I do not usually watch any TV on Saturday and Monday nights, nothing on I want to see.   I do not usually include new shows at this point until I've seen them a few times.

SUNDAYS

This is my night for "Animation Domination" on Fox.  I am o happy they are returning to four straight animated comedies, instead of the three they've been having.  This is also pretty much the only time I watch Fox during the week unless they have a sporting event or DA Bears.  Times are Central.

7--  The Simpsons
7:30--  Bless the Harts  (New show, but I'll go ahead and figure I'll like it.)
8--  Bob's Burgers
8:30--  Family Guy

I also like America's Funniest Videos on ABC at 6 p.m. and NCIS: Los Angeles on CBS at 9 p.m..

Don't That Just Burn Your Butt

I really hate it when the networks promise "All New Shows" and then put on "Reruns." That just burns my butt.

Last night, I settled in to watch CBS' great Monday night lineup as we awaited the "Great Ice Storm of '07." That would be: How I Met Your Mother, The Big Bang Theory, Two and a Half Men, Rules of Engagement, and CSI-Miami. I was looking forward to it as they were advertised as all being new. Because of the writers' strike, new shows are just about over.

I must admit, I didn't remember the first show, so that might have been a new one. But all the rest were definitely reruns.

Come on networks. You're worried about all the people watching cable stations. How about treating us with a little more respect!!
