Merritt's Burger House on Carolina Beach Road had an ad offering your choice of fish, shrimp, oyster, deviled crab and barbecue trays for $1 apiece. And, they came with sides of fries, hush puppies and cole slaw.
Their cheeseburger was a whopping 22 cents!!
And, the restaurant is still there. I bet the prices are a litttle higher now, though.
