Listen to this man. Seven years of college, you know. Trying to reason with 2020 and, now, 2022.

A Football Weekend

I went to the Johnsburg-Marengo high school game last night and stayed until after the half-time activities as it was getting way too cold (thankfully no wind, though).  The Johnsburg Skyhawks were winning 25-3.  I learned this morning that they won 42-17.  It was Johnsburg's Homecoming game.  Thursday night I watched the Homecoming fireworks from our deck.

Even better news, Palatine defeated arch rival Fremd last night 27-14!!!  That is one game you don't want to lose.

Sadly, the other three teams I support (Round Lake, Richmond-Burton and Grant) all lost and by a combined 130-13 score.  Ouch!!

In a little bit, we leave for DeKalb for NIU's Homecoming game and the DeKalb Footstompers at Lord Stanley's, their 41st NIU Homecoming they've played.  This is out 41st Homecoming since graduating in 1973.

Sunday, of course, Da Bears vs. Atlanta.
