Christmas in These Here Parts-- Part 2

DECEMBER 22, MONDAY--  The overcast days continue.  We had more sunless days this month than ever before.Went to Donovan's Reef in Twin Lakes and watched the movie "Merry Frigging Christmas" one of the last by Robin Williams.  This was a very funny movie about a very dysfunctional family.  Stopped at the Legion on the way home.

DECEMBER 23, TUESDAY--  Went to Half Times in Johnsburg, Il. for their pizza special.  Watched NIU get blown out by Marshall in the Boca Raton Bowl.  OUCH!!

DECEMBER 24, WEDNESDAY--  CHRISTMAS EVE--End of the War of 1812 200 years ago with the Treaty of Ghent, although we didn't know it for a long time here in the U.S..  First Battle of Fort Fisher begins 150 years ago.Enjoyed an Andy Griffith Christmas show take off on "A Christmas Carol."  Went to J's and Hello Folks in Fox Lake, Il. to play NTN  Later to the Legion and Route 12 Bar.  Enjoyed "A Christmas Story" during the marathon, an annual Christmas thing for us.

DECEMBER 25, THURSDAY--  CHRISTMAS--  More "A Christmas Story."  Went to the Grand Buffet in McHenry for a Chinese Christmas dinner.  No singing "Ra, Ra, ra, Ra-Ra" though, or Chinese duck as i9n the movie.  Then Half Time on the way home.
