WLS Top 40 Survey for January 28, 1966-- Part 4: "Jenny Take a Ride"

20.  JENNY TAKE A RIDE--  Mitch Ryder & Detroit Wheels  //  Went to #10 Billboard.  Medley of Little Richard's "Jenny, Jenny" and Chuck Willis' "C.C. Rider."  This was their first hit. White soul group led by William Levise, Jr. (Mitch).
19.  I SEE THE LIGHT--  Five Americans  //  Their first hit #26 Billboard.  Dallas, Texas, group.  One of my favorite groups.

18.  MEN IN MY LITTLE GIRL'S LIFE--  Mike Douglas

17.  BIG BRIGHT EYES--  Danny Hutton  //  Didn't chart, but definitely should have.  His only chart hit was "Roses and Rainbows in 1965 which went to #73.  Studio singer with Hanna-Barbera Productions.  You probably know him better as a lead singer with Three Dog Night.

16.  WELL-RESPECTED MAN--  Kinks  #13.  You know, Ray and Dave Davies.  "A Well Respected Man."
