Canadian/American singer and songwriter.

Inducted into the Canadian Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2011 and called the greatest Canadian  rock and roll singer of all time.  He had 19 songs hit the Billboard Hot 100, including four Top Tens from 1958 to 1961.
