BUZZY LINHART, 76
Died 13 February 2020.
Singer, songwriter.
In 1963, moved to New York City where he became friends with John Sebastian. He was decades ahead of everyone when he complained about smoke when he preformed.
Very skilled at the vibraphone and was a session player on it for Richie Havens, Carly Simon, Cat Mother & the All Night Newsboys and Jimi Hendrix.
Was joint composer of the song "(You Got to Have) Friends" which became Bette Midler's de facto theme song.
He never achieved commercial success.
