Listen to this man. Seven years of college, you know. Trying to reason with 2020 and, now, 2022.

WLS Top 30 for Week of January 10, 1972-- Part 2: 'Old Fashioned Love Song'

That's right, fifty years ago. Half a century.

25.  *DROWNING IN A SEA OF LOVE--  Joe Simon     #11      Sadly, he just left us, dying on December 13, 2021.  All the soul you could ever want.  He had 51 U.S. Pop and R&B  hits between 1964 and 1981, including eight pop Top 40s.

24.  ALL I EVER NEED IS YOU--  Sonny and Cher     #7      Husband and wife duo.   One could sing, the other not so well.  But it worked.

23.  OLD FASHIONED LOVE SONG--  Three Dog Night         #4      "An Old Fashioned Love Song"   Who says white guys can't sing Soul?

22.  GOT TO BE THERE--  Michael Jackson     #4     How that guy could sing that well at that age is beyond me.  His first solo song.

21.  *LOOKING FOR A LOVE--  J. Geils Band     #39    That's Peter Wolf singing with  "Magic Dick" Salwitz on harmonica and John "J." Geils on guitar.   Their first hit.

Name That Tune (from the above songs):  "Somebody Help Me, Somebody Help me Now."  Answer below.  --RoadDog
