Replaced Tony Williams as lead singer of the Platters in 1959.
Sang lead on the classic Platters hits of the 1960s:
"I Love You 1000 Times" (#31-1966)
"With This Ring" (14-1967)
"Washed Ashore (On a Lonely Island in the Sea)" (#56-1967)
These are huge Beach Music songs as well.
