WLS Top 26 for Week of September 11, 1972-- Part 3: 'Guitar Man'

* means it was climbing the charts.  The number after the artist is how high it got on the Billboard Hot 100 National charts.

15.  BEAUTIFUL SUNDAY--  Daniel Boone     #15     Reminds me of driving the old Ramblin' Wreck around Athens, Georgia during the summer.  A song to get you going on a Sunday morning.  I love it when he repeats the words.  Born Peter Lee Stirling in Birmingham, England.  His only Top 40 hit.

14.  *GO ALL THE WAY--  Raspberries      #5     That's Eric Carmen on lead vocal  Great guitar work.  What exactly were they talking about?  Their only Top Ten.

13.  GOODBYE TO LOVE--  Carpenters    #7    The fuzz guitar was by Tony Peluso.  Written by Richard Carpenter and John Bettis.  From New Haven, Connecticut.

12.  GUITAR MAN--  Bread      #11     Still love that guitar intro.

11.  HOLD YOUR HEAD UP--  Argent      #5      Quite the jam on this one.  Leader Rod Argent was also a member of the Zombies.
