Music Deaths: Gary Duncan of the Quicksilver Messenger Service Band

Died June 29, 2019
Born Eugene Duncan Jr. Adopted at birth and name changed to Gary Ray Grub. American guitarist and singer, most famous for his time with Quicksilver Messenger Service, a San Francisco Acid-Rock group featuring guitarist John Cippolina. Their biggest hit was "Fresh Air" (#49-1970).
A big part of the Haight-Asbury San Francisco Scene.
