WLS Top 40 for November 10, 1969-- Part 2: "Ruben James"
(D) means Debut. The number behind the artists is the highest the song got on the Billboard Hot 100 Chart.
35. GET RHYTHM-- Johnny Cash #60 That beat, that sound, that voice. Country goes pop!!!
34. RUEBEN JAMES-- Kenny Rogers / First Edition #26 The old black man who took in the little white boy and raised him. Spelled "Ruben James."
33. TEN COMMANDMENTS OF LOVE-- Little Anthony / Imperials #82 At first, I didn't care for it (I don't remember ever hearing it), but the more I listened to it, the more I liked it.
32. ELEANOR RIGBY-- Aretha Franklin #17 (D) Let her take someone else's song and make it her own.
31. AREN'T WE THE LUCKY ONES-- Vic Dana Did not chart. The flip side of "I Tried to Love You Today." believe it or not, I could not find this song on You Tube. That is a rare thing indeed.
