WLS Top 40 for November 10, 1969-- Part 5: "Fortunate Son"

20.   I CAN'T GET NEXT TO YOU--  Temptations      #1     Motown like Motown should be.  Gotta love that choreography.  Their biggest-ever hit.

19.  FORTUNATE SON  #14 / DOWN ON THE CORNER  #3--   Creedence Clearwater Revival.   What you'd call a two-sided hit.     There's a reason this guys are my all-time favorite band.

18.  TRACY--  Cuff Links      #9    A fun piece of pop if there ever was one.  Clocking in at just 2:13.    "Tracy, never, ever let me go."  Their biggest hit and only Top 40.

17.  BALL OF FIRE--  Tommy James / Shondells     #19   They sure have come a long way from "Hanky Panky."  Real psychedelic, man.

16.  ROOSEVELT & IRA LEE--   Tony Joe White    #44  (Night of the Mossacin)  Two cats talking real deep Southron.  "Polk Salad Annie" part two.  Write Brook Benton's "Rainy Night in Georgia."

Name That Tune (from the above songs):  "Early In The Evenin', Just About Supper Time."  Answer below.  --RoadDog
