WLS Top 30 for Week of July 12, 1971-- Part 3: 'Never Ending Song of Love'

20.  TAKE ME HOME, COUNTRY ROADS--  Bob Denver     #2    His first hit.    Where is almost Heaven?  You enter that state and start seeing billboards saying just that.    This was my Marine Corps song.  "Take Me Home."  One comment said that John Denver isn't dead, a country road took him home.

19.  BEGINNINGS--  Chicago     #7   Originally released in 1969.  Remember when they were called the Chicago Transit Company?

18.  I DON'T WANT TO DO WRONG--  Gladys Knight & the Pips     #17     The Empress of Soul.  Family group from Atlanta.

17.  WATCHING THE RIVER FLOW--  Bob Dylan     #41    That's Leon Russell on piano.

16.  NEVER ENDING SONG OF LOVE--  Delaney and Bonnie & Friends     #13      Quite a feel-good song.  One comment said it was recorded in a motel room with friends.  Sounds like that was true.  Their biggest hit.  Delaney and Bonnie Bramlett.

Name That Tune (from the above songs):  "Life Is Old There, Older Than The Trees, Younger Than The Mountains Growing Like The Breeze."  Answer below.  --RoadDog
