WLS Top 40 for February 10, 1967-- Part 1: "I've Been Lonely Too Long"

Very surprising as usually there are at least 10-15 songs when I do the Top 40 of which I don't really remember.

This time, there are only three in that category:  #38, #33 and #27.

(D)  means Debut.  The number after artist is the highest it got on Billboard's Top 100.

40.  I'VE BEEN LONELY TOO LONG--  Young Rascals  (D)  #16  Who says white guys can't sing soul?

39.  STAND BY ME--    Spyder Turner  (D)  #15.  One of only two Top 100s for him.  Out-Souled Ben E. King on this one with many, many vocal impressions.

38.  OH YEAH--  Joe Cuba Sextet  #62.  Raunchy, Latin Rock.

37.  DARLIN' BE HOME SOON--  Lovin' Spoonful  (D)  #15.  Jug Band Music from New York City.

36.  HAPPY TOGETHER--  Turtles  (D)  #1.  Their biggest hit.  Formed in Los Angeles in 1961.
