WLS Top 40 for February 10, 1967-- Part 3: "Tell It to the Rain"

30.  FOR WHAT IT'S WORTH--  Buffalo Springfield (Stop, Hey What's That Sound)  (D)  #7.  Formed in Los Angeles in 1966.  Richie Furay, Dewey Martin and Bruce Palmer (replaced by Jim Messina).  Of course, there were those Stephen and Neil guys in it as well.  Their only Top 10.  The other 4 were #44 to #98.  Broke up in 1968.  Way too good.

29.  SOCK IT TO ME--  Mitch Ryder  (And the Detroit Wheels)  (D)  Their biggest hit.  Real name of Mitch was William Levise, Jr..  White soul group renamed by their producer, Bob Crewe.  Bob Crewe, of course, so much a part of the Four Seasons sound.

28.  TELL IT TO THE RAIN--  Four Seasons  #10.  Another Bob Crewe song.  He had one other one  on the WLS chart other than these two.  A good week for Bob Crewe.

27.  INDESCRIBABLY BLUE--  Elvis Presley  #33.  Can anyone say an Elvis song I never geard of before?  Slow and pretty bad song.  Was it from a movie?

26.  LOVIN' YOU--  Bobby Darin  #32  His last Top 40.  Written by John Sebastian and originally performed by the Lovin' Spoonful.

Name That Tune (from the above songs):  "Honey In the Bee Hive, Honey Bunch."  Answer Below.  --RoadDog
