Out Boatin' and 4th of Julyin'

Two good days out on the boat yesterday and today. Mostly floating, but also today, we went to McDonald's for breakfast, a favorite thing to do. How many other McDonald's can you boat over to and eat in your boat? Enjoyed feeding the ducks, who are almost brave enough to take the food right out of your hand.

Tomorrow, we have Spring Grove's 4th of July celebration with the Rockin' Fenederskirts playing at 2. We'll probably watch the fireworks display from out front porch. Then Saturday, it's Fox Lake's centennial/4th of July observance, complete with parade, vendors, entertainment, and the big fireworks display on Mineola Bay at dusk.

Friday, I'm considering going over to Round Lake Beach's "Beach Festival" and seeing a favorite 70s country rock band called Heartsfield, who have gotten back together. Sunday, it's Ribfest at the Kellerhers who have a place right on Mineola Bay.

We're finally getting some much needed rain right now.

At what point do you have too much 4th of July? --RoadDog
