Thanks for the Music, Harold Ramis-- Part 3: A Salute to Today, Groundhog Day

Some great songs from his movies.

This past Saturday, i went to Woodstock, Illinois, where Harold Ramis' "Groundhog Day" movie was made.  I watched the movie at Wayne's Lanes, where the bar scene in the bowling alley "Glass half empty scene" was filmed.  Outside the bowling alley was where they got into the car and went on that run through the streets of Woodstock and railroad tracks.

This is where Bill Murray realized that since he was repeating the same day over and over he could do anything he wanted, even get arrested or die, and wake up the next day like nothing had happened.

Some great music from the movie:

I Got You Babe--  Sonny and Cher (This song was playing from the gazebo as I walked across Woodstock Square (Gobblers Knob in the movie) and where the dance scene took place when Bill was trying to win over Andi.).

Weatherman--  Delbert McClinton
Piano Sonata in C--  Mozart
You Don't Know Me--  Ray Charles
Almost Like Being in Love--  Nat King Cole
Pennsylvania Polka--  Frankie Yankovic

Great Soundtrack, Great Movie.  --RoadDog
