2017 Movie Scratches: Dog's-- Fences-- Lion-- Space

Movie Scratches--  A Dog's-eye View of the movies showing at theaters.

13.  A DOG'S PURPOSE--  2-2--  Woodstock, $5--  It made you laugh.  It made you cry.  A dog's eye view of reincarnation.

14.  FENCES--  2-7--  Round Lake Beach, $6--  Another Best Picture nominee.  I had earlier thought that "Hidden Figures" should get Best Picture, but not now.  If "La La Land" gets it, I'll join the blacks in their protest.  By far the best movie I've seen in a long while.

15.  LION--  2-8--  Fox Lake, $5--  Another nominee.  A lost Indian child gets lucky, gets adopted by Australian parents and then goes in search of his "lost" family.

16.  THE SPACE BETWEEN US--  2-10--  Fox Lake, $6--  A REAL long-distance love affair.

I Wish It Was Easier to See Movies Getting Nominated for Best Picture.  --RoadDog
