Music Deaths: Gerry McGee of the Ventures
GERRY McGEE, 81
Died 12 October 2019
Son of famed Cajun violinist Dennis McGee.
Lead guitarist with the Ventures, instrumental group from the 1960s to 1970s.
Sought after session musician and played guitar on many early Monkees albums and also for Elvis Presley, Everly Brothers and Linda Ronstadt.
