Listen to this man. Seven years of college, you know. Trying to reason with 2020 and, now, 2022.

Songs From the Summer of '71-- Part 7, August 1, 1971: 'Walk Away'

This past Sunday, Bob Stroud had his third installment of his annual Rock and Roll Roots Salute to the summer fifty years past.  That would be 1971 this year.  In his show, he plays the songs on the radio and in your record collection from that day.  It is always the first Sunday in each month June, July August and September.

I really look forward to it as it really takes me back in time. 1971 was a great college year for me split between NIU and UGA.

I JUST WANT TO CELEBRATE--  Rare Earth

THE CHANGELING--  Doors

SMILING FACES (SOMETIMES)--  Undisputed Truth

LIAR--  Three Dog Night     (A song that always brings back memories of Quantico, Virginia, for me at Summer Camp.)

MOVE OVER--  Janis Joplin

(SOMEBODY ELSE BEEN) SHAKING YOUR TREE--  ZZ Top  (Sad to lose Dusty Hill last week.)

WALK AWAY--  James Gang

NEVER ENDING SONG OF LOVE--  Delaney & Bonnie

LOW DOWN--  Chicago

--RoadDog'71

Name That Tune (from the above songs):  "I Won't Ever Leave, You Want Me To Stay."  Answer below.
