Deaths: Arthur "Guitar Boogie" Smith and Joe "Speedo" Frazier

From Oldies News.

ARTHUR "GUITAR BOOGIE" SMITH. 93.  Died April 3, 2014.  Composer of the "Dueling Banjos" song from the 1872 movie "Deliverance."  It was a #2 hit for Eric Weissberg and Steve Mandell.

Martin Mull had a parody that went to #92 called "Dueling Tubas."

JOE "SPEEDO" FRAZIER, 70.  Died March 1, 2014.  Lead singer and only black members of the group Impalas.  Joe uttered "Uh oh" at the beginning of "Sorry (I Ran All the Way Home" which went to #2 in 1959.  It was a mistake that he said it, but they left it in and I loved it.  .
