Going Back to '69-- Part 4: Gas Was 35 Cents a Gallon

Gas cost 35 cents a gallon and someone pumped it for you.  It cost 40 cents to ride Chicago's El, $1.50 to see a movie and you could score a new album (yep, vinyl) at E.J. Korvette's for $2.79.

VICTORIA-- Kinks  (I have to admit to losing touch with the Kinks from about '68 to the 80s with the exception of "Lola," but have been catching up with them lately.)
RAMBLE ON--  Led Zeppelin  From their second album, Led Zeppelin II.  Robert Plant is appearing in Chicago at Northerly Island on Lake Michigan June 17th, this Wednesday.

WELL ALRIGHT--  Blind Faith  Debut and only album came out in August.  Steve Winswood & company.
TIME OF THE SEASON--  Zombies

ROOM TO MOVE--  John Mayall
UP ON CRIPPLE CREEK--  Band  From their second album titles simple, The Band.

THAT'S THE WAY LOVE IS--  Marvin Gaye
CINNAMON GIRL--  Neil Young  Everybody Knows This Is Nowhere was his album released in May.  The start of his association with the band called Crazy Horse.  he also joined up with CS&N.
