Goin' Back to '69-- Part 5

ROCK ME--  Steppenwolf  This one takes me back to a tinny speaker at the swimming pool. And speaking of Easy Rider, (this tune from the group that gave us "Born to Be Wild" and Heavy Metal running,  It takes me back to the Senior Lounge jukebox back at Palatine High School.  It played a lot, along with "Magic Carpet Ride.")

JESUS IS JUST ALRIGHT--  Byrds  The Doobie Brothers had a hit with this in 1972.  It is a gospel tune.Also from the Ballad of Easy Rider.

GOING TO THE SHOW IN 1969 with the Regular Guy.:  Movies cost a couple of bucks:  True Grit,  Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, Easy Rider and Hello Dolly,

HOT SUMMER DAY--  It's a Beautiful Day  A somewhat seasonal selection.
BORN ON THE BAYOU--  Creedence Clearwater Revival  John Fogerty's coming to town in July over at Northerly Island.
WE'RE NOT GONNA TAKE IT--  Who An album that my brother Tom played so many times that I certainly know every word to every single song.
