It starts tonight with the "Lighting of the Groundhog' and the "Dinner-Dance" in Woodstock, Illinois. The lighting will occur at the Woodstock Opera House (old City Hall) which was the Hotel Pennsylvanian in the movie and the Dinner-Dance is at the nearby Moose Lodge where it took place in the actual movie.
We'll be missing that, but did see our VHS copy of the movie this afternoon.
Tomorrow, it's back to the square to see the movie "Groundhog Day" on the big screen in the movie Bronco Billy took his masquerade date. Then its the annual chili cookoff at the Opera House, the walk to see the film sites, and movie symposium.
