Where Were You January 9, 1967?-- Part 3

Songs playing on your radio back then.

MELLOW YELLOW-- DONOVAN-- (What do they call him?)
IT'S NOW WINTER'S DAY-- TOMMY ROE-- Getting caught up in a winter head trip. What did they put in his eggnog, anyway? Just in time for winter '67. (One I have never heard before. Not too impressed.)

GIMME SOME LOVIN'-- SPENCER DAVIS GROUP-- brand new from a British Invasion band. (With that young Stevie Winwood singing and playing the keys.)
DEVIL WITH A BLUE CRESS/GOOD GOLLY MISS MOLLY-- MITCH RYDER & the DETROIT WHEELS-- Top ten. (The name of a song and group that never ends.)

TAXMAN-- BEATLES-- At this point in time, the latest we had from the Beatles. From the Revolver album released in August of 1966. We were a month away from a new Beatle single "Penny Lane" on the "A" side and "Strawberry Fields Forever" on the "B" side.
TOMORROW NEVER KNOWS-- BEATLES-- Closes the Revolver album.

QUOTES: The secret of a good sermon is to have a good beginning and a good ending; and to have the two as close together as possible. --George Burns
