Listen to this man. Seven years of college, you know. Trying to reason with 2020 and, now, 2022.

Where Were You November 20, 1967?

I was a junior at Palatine High School in Palatine, Illinois, and was working at the Burger King in town. I had just met Liz a couple weeks earlier at a party and we were starting to date.

Bob Stroud did a Time Warp to This Date earlier this morning. These were songs being played on WLS and WCFL, our two main listening stations. Both were AM. All quotes are mine.

BEND ME SHAPE ME-- American Breed
LET IT ALL HANG OUT-- Hombres
SHE'S MY GIRL-- Turtles
I CAN SEE FOR MILES-- Who
BOOGALOO DOWN BROADWAY-- Fantastic Johnny C

NEON RAINBOW-- Box Tops
HUSH-- Billy Joe Royal-- the old "Down in the Boondocks" man himself.
KENTUCKY WOMAN-- Neil Diamond
STAGGER LEE-- Wilson Pickett-- The Wicked Pickett himself.
PURPLE HAZE-- Jimi Hendrix-- Blew me away. Never heard a guitar played like this.

BEG BORROW AND STEAL-- Ohio Express-- Some of that great Bubble Gum music.
I SECOND THAT EMOTION-- Smokey Robinson & the Miracles-- Some Sweet Soul Music.
EXPRESSWAY TO YOUR HEART-- Soul Survivors
HELLO GOODBYE-- Beatles
I AM THE WALRUS-- Beatles-- a two sided hit.

DAYDREAM BELIEVER-- Monkees-- Liz's ring tone.
INCENSE AND PEPPERMINTS-- Strawberry Alarm Clock-- Could you get much more psychedelic than this? Even the group's name.
THE RAIN, THE PARK & OTHER THINGS-- Cowsills-- Before there was a Partridge Family, there were a group of Cowsills.
SUSAN-- Buckinghams-- Chicago's own.

TO SIR WITH LOVE-- Lulu-- the number one song in Chicago.

Sure Took Me Back. Thanks Bob. --RoadDog

DOGS AND CATS ARE BETTER THAN KIDS-- Because they eat less.
