Happy Birthday Route 66, U.S. 12, U.S. 14, and Most All U.S. Highways

Yesterday, November 11th, was the birthday of the United States Highway system, the one that replaced the previous mosh of named and confusing roads like the Lincoln  and Dixie highways.  They became official on that date in 1926.
