So, Who Were Reparata & the Delrons?-- Part 3

Ernie Maresca wrote "Whenever a Teenager Cries," but is better known for his songs he wrote for Dion & the Belmons: "No One Knows," "Runaround Sue," "The Wanderer," ""Lovers Who Wander" and "Donna, the Primma Donna."

He also had his own hit song "Shout! Shout! (Knock Yourself Out."  "Party Girl" by Bernadette Carroll was also one of his songs.

Reparata & the Delrons had two British Invasion group songs on their 1965 album "Whenever a Teenager Cries."  They were the Beatles' "If I Fell" and Manfred Mann's "Doo Wah Diddy Diddy."

They toured with Dick Clark's Caravan of Stars twice in 1965, but Reparata performed solo with backing vocals from the theater wings.  The group's next two singles were credited only to Reparata ""A Summer Thought" and "I Found My Place.

They opened for the Rolling Stones on their Spring 1965 North American Tour.

Reparata signed with RCA in 1965 and released "I Can Tell," "I'm Waiting There for ZYou.  "I Can Hear Rain" featured Melba Moore.
