Don't Make Waves at the Old Ballpark

From the May/June Saturday Evening Post "Don 't Make Waves" by Ed Dwyer.

Ed was writing about fond memories of going out to the old ballpark to see baseball played.  His dad was a huge Philadelphia Phillies fan and he remembers trips to the old Connie Mack Stadium.

However, there are certain things he doesn't like about Major League Baseball these days.  First among them are the really high prices.  that is my biggest problem with the games these days as well.

But, there are three things that fans do that he doesn't like.

1.  The "Wave"

2.  Individuals who spend almost the whole game staring at their "smart" phones

3.  People who stand for almost every play.

The Wave doesn't bother me.  I think the people in love with their cellphones are just stupid.  You pay all that money and then stay glued to your screen.  Hard to imagine.  And, yes, those constant up-and-downers do really bug me.

Sit Down!!  And Get Off Those "Smart" Phones!!  --RoadDog
