Music Deaths: Lonnie Mack and Phil Humphrey

LONNIE MACK, 71.  Died April 21, 2016.

Best-known  for his 1963 instrumentals "Memphis: #5 and "Wham" #14.  Known for his pioneering style of playing guitar and charted 7 times on his own, but was also on a lot of sessions for James Brown, Hank Ballard and on "Morrison Hotel" by the Doors.

PHIL HUMPHRY, 78  Died March 29, 2016.

Was one half of the Fendermen who had a big hit in 1960 with "Mule Skinner Blues" #5.  The other member, Jim Sundquist, passed away in 2013.  The duo formed at UW-Madison.
