Music Deaths: Ned Miller and Johnny Sea

NED MILLER, 90, Died March 18, 2016.

Best remembered for the 1963 country crossover hit "from a Jack to a Jill" which went to #6.  He had 11 country hits but disliked touring because of stage fright and retired early.

JOHNNY SEA, 75, Died May 14, 2016

He gave a patriotic answer to "Eve of Destruction" titled "Day of Decision" (#35-1966), appeared eight times on country charts 1959-1968.  His biggest hits were "Frankie's Man Johnny" (#13-1959) and "Nobody's Darling But Mine" (#13-1960).

This name sounded somewhat familiar to me and then I remembered that while researching the WLS Weekly Top 40s for fifty years ago in 1966, I had come across the #9 song on the June 10, 1966 Survey as "Day of Decision" by a Johnny Sea.  I'd never heard it before so went to YouTube and listened to it.  More of a talk song, but a very patriotic one.
