It's a Blackhawk Thing By the Numbers

Never sure if it is properly the Black Hawks or the Blackhawks. Only the chief knows for sure.

In honor of the NHL season beginning last Thursday, the October 7th Northwest Herald had a Blackhawks by the numbers. Above it was a picture of them after winning the Stanley Cup and the players no longer with the team had their faces circled.

BY THE NUMBERS:

10: Players from the Stanley Cup championship roster no longer on the team.

12: Years since an NHL team has won back-to-back Stanley Cup titles.

19: Age of the youngest player on this year's Hawks roster, defenseman Nick Leddy.

35: Age of the oldest Hawk, goalie Marty Turco.

120: Days since the Hawks clinched the Stanley Cup on June 9 in Philadelphia. (actually 125 today)

$201.25: Cheapest ticket for Saturday's home opener via Hawks' ticket exchange.

$30,000: estimated cost of Hawks' Stanley Cup ring, which includes 404 diamonds.

3: The number of Blackhawk items I have bought since they won (a hat, mug and sign).

3: The total number of Blackhawk items I have.
