Listen to this man. Seven years of college, you know. Trying to reason with 2020 and, now, 2022.

Heading Out for NIU Homecoming

I'll be leaving shortly for Dekalb, Illinois, for Northern Illinois' Homecoming against Buffalo. Too bad my old fraternity, Delta Sigma Phi, is no longer on campus as we had a great tune called the "Buffalo Song" to the tune of Creedence Clearwater Revival's "Lodi." It would be great to sing it with those guys again.

We used to go to homecoming every year, but haven't been for a long time. We used to get together with friends and stay at the Motel 6 elegant suites on Lincoln Highway.

After the game, we will go to Lord Stanley's downtown for the annual Dekalb Footstompers show. This is quite a band playing anything from oldies to polkas to off-color songs like "NIU Sorority Bitch." What would you expect from a band with a drummer, accordion player, tuba player and guitarist.

Lots of fun.

Unfortunately, we decided to go too late and can't get a room so will be returning.
