Despite the cool temps today, I'm going out with friends on a boat for the Mineola Chili Run in a few hours. We'll be going to five places on the Chain of Lakes, starting and ending at the Mineola, a small-scale version of the Grand Hotel in Mackinac. (Not in good shape, though.)
Should be a good time if I don't freeze.
Then, it's off to the Fox Lake annual Oktoberfest at Lakefront Park for brats, more beer, a German oompah band and a rock band to cap off the day.
