Where Were You October 9, 1968?-- Part 4

MIDNIGHT CONFESSIONS-- GRASS ROOTS-- In the Top Ten, the latest from the band featuring the late-great Rob Grill. (Man, they sure had some great music.)
SOUL DRIPPIN'-- MAUDS-- Chicago's Mauds, backed by the CTA's (Chicago) horn section. (Wonder how they came up with their name?)

IN-A-GADDA-DA-VIDA-- IRON BUTTERFLY-- Climbing the charts. (A long song, but pretty well summed up the era. I'll have a Gadda with a drum solo.)
GREENBURG, GLICKSTEIN, CHARLES, DAVID SMITH AND JONES-- CRYAN' SHAMES-- Great song with an impressive production. Chicago's own in the Top Ten. (If you've never heard it, you really need to give it a listen.)

FIRE-- THE CRAZY WORLD OF ARTHUR BROWN-- Number 1 in Chicago by a one-hit wonder. (Sure sounded crazy at the start and throughout the whole song. That's two "Fire" songs being played back 43 years ago. Wonder what ever happened to old "Crazy?)
