JSS: 40th-- A to Z-- Getting Cold-- Raking Pine Straw-- Mighty Pretty Flowers

JSS-- Just Some Stuff

1. 40TH-- OK, it was windy and it was a bit cold, but yesterday we went out in the boat for the 40th time. That is always our objective and didn't really think we'd make it this year due to the very late time we put the boat in the water and the unpredictable weather.

2. A TO Z-- This Thursday at 9 am, WDRV FM, 97.1 FM in Chicago starts their famous Rock A to Z marathon. They will play songs by titles from then and continue for at least eight days. You can listen at www.wdrv.com.

3. GETTING COLD-- Frost on the vehicles this morning and the sweet potato vines don't look to good either. Hope I didn't leave them out too long. Brought a bunch of the deck plants inside, plus Liz is putting the lighted pumpkins in the front windows so those plants found their way to the sunroom as well.

4. RAKING PINE STRAW-- Just got in from raking the pine straw up from the east pine island. Hey, free mulch. And I have to get it up before cutting the grass for hopefully the last time of the season. Still have the west pine island to rake.

5. MIGHTY PRETTY FLOWERS-- The mums are outdoing themselves this year. The house is a blaze of yellow from one end to the other and along the sides. Had to go take pictures. Had to come in and warm up now.
