SHAPES OF THINGS TO COME-- MAX FROST & THE TROOPERS-- Top Ten from the movie "Wild in the Streets." (Wasn't that the one where you'd have to be killed at age 30?)
THE SNAKE-- AL WILSON-- (The last five songs were) a set that was a good cross section of the kinds of music on your radio 43 years ago today. The last two songs included in the Rock and Roll Roots CD series. (Now 12 Cds worth of take-you-back music.)
ALL ALONG THE WATCHTOWER-- JIMI HENDRIX-- Brand new. (Bob Dylan was so proud.)
FIRE-- FIVE BY FIVE-- A little garage band. They somehow snuck into the Top 40 here in Chicago in their cover version of a Jimi Hendrix song. (Jimi was so proud.)
HEY JUDE-- BEATLES-- Double-sided hit in the Top Ten here in Chicago. (A real big surprise to have a Beatles song on the charts back in the sixties.)
REVOLUTION-- BEATLES-- Actually, today is John Lennon's birthday. Hard to believe he would have been 71 today. Forty-three years ago, he was 28.
Don't Pick Up Snakes. --RoadDog
PARAPROSDOKIAN SENTENCE: How is it that one careless match can start a forest fire, but it takes a whole box to start a campfire?
