Good Party, But Bears Stink

This last Sunday we had our annual Bears-Packers party, and again the Bears let us down with a loss to those cheeseheads up north. At one point, I thought we might win when we had a 14-13 lead, but then the $30 million man threw one of his patented interceptions.

As usual, Old Stone Face had absolutely no facial expression. Hopefully he is on his way out and we can get a REAL Bear like Singletary or Rivera.

Anyway, we again went through a whole keg with the 36 guests we had. Too bad, I sure like the Day After parties where we finish off kegs like we have with Kevin and Kelly. But, evidently our friends like their beer.

Ran out just about the end of the game.

As usual, we provided the Aldi spiral sliced, precooked ham which is hard to beat. Plenty of sweets, dips and other snacks were brought along as well.

Afterwards, some folks stuck around for Name That Tune which we played for another 4 hours. Everyone also enjoyed listening to Pat Dailey's "Raw Bars" album as well and several expressed interest in a summer trip out to Put-In-Bay to see him at the Boathouse and Mike "Mad Dog" Adams at the Round House Bar.

Best comment came from a friend who was here for the first time. "This is just one big bar museum." I do have a lot of 1980s mirrors and lights all over Margaritaville and the North Woods.

Two hats were hanging on a hat rack in the hallway. One hat said to the other, "You stay here; I'll go on a head."
