It's Them, Nor Me: What Goes Down, Should Go Down: Those Zany Guys at Big Oil

I saw last night that the price of oil went down almost $10. Just a week ago, I saw that US usage of gas was down 2% and dropping. If we still had the law of supply and demand, a foundation of capitalistic economy, that would mean that the price of gas at the pump should have gone down.

It hasn't!!

Today, I drove into Crystal Lake, Illinois, to have the Dakota's emissions test. Gas from McHenry to CL was anywhere from $4.26 to $4.40. It hadn't dropped from yesterday.

Now, if oil had gone up $10 a barrel yesterday, would Big Oil have raised the price at the pump significantly? You bet they would have. The same if gas usage had gone up 2%. We would have seen the increase at the pumps in a matter of hours if not minutes.

Something Really Does Need to Be Done About Those Guys Until They Show That They Can Learn to Play Well With Others. --RoadDog
