It's Them, Not Me: Where's Our Gas Decrease?

Last Wednesday, oil prices dropped almost $6 and that is on top of a big drop the week before, but we sure haven't seen any of it at the pumps. The boys at Big Oil are keeping that price right up there.

Last week, gas in Fox Lake dropped to $4.24 for a few days then went back to $4.27. Yesterday I saw it back at $4.24. Gas in Spring Grove dropped from $4.40 to $4.36.

If oil prices had gone up as much as it has dropped, we would have seen a dollar increase at least and on an hourly basis.

The reasons for dropping oil are there: the government reports increasing stockpiles, stronger dollar and demand is weaker. It should be going down, but someone is going for another quarter of huge profits.

At least, gas is not going up. We still, however, have Big Oil's vaunted summer driving season coming up which is a good excuse to raise gas some more.

I'm still hoping they get the price up to $5 to $6 and get the powers that be to actually do something to prevent them from doing this again. If they can't learn to play well with others, they should have their playground privileges revoked.
