THE TANK-- sat out on the patio in the "warm weather" and enjoyed the $1 bottles and watching the Bulls game on TV. Went to the LEGION on the way home and saw the end of the game.
Saturday, May 7th
We did the Chain Crawl on its opening day. Thirty-seven bars and one summer to do all of them (and get your passport stamped).
The kick-off was at DOCKERS on Pistakee Lake. We were by car, but some braved the cold and boated. Next stop, the 1880s MINEOLA, badly in need of work.
The rest of the folks went to otter places. Barb, Glen, Liz and I went to the SQUAW CREEK BAR where I had my Derby mint julep drink. Last stop at the LEGION for the Kentucky Derby and to laugh at the silly-looking hats. We even had girls in the place wearing those hats.
Sunday, May 8th
CHINA BUFFET for crab legs, shrimp, roast beef, ham and salmon. Then, SQUAW CREEK and back to the LEGION. Watched a great NBA playoff game at MARGARITAVILLE, but unfortunately, the Bulls lost. Called Mom as well.
