How's That Nog With Your Egg?/Fascinating Facts About Christmas

What's the "nog" in the egg nog.

Since I won't be posting tomorrow, it being a Sunday and Christmas at the same time, here's a Christmas-related story.

A typical cup of egg nog has 343 calories of all the worst sort of stuff for you, but, it's tradition and good-tasting as well.

This liquid doughnut consists of eggs, sugar, cream, milk, nutmeg and vanilla. The nog is for the liquor you put in it.

We like brandy, but whiskey will do in a pinch. Liz bought our egg nog yesterday. We drink out of glasses we have had since 1973 when we toasted with Liz's parents. Both of them are no longer with us and one of the four glasses broke and was thrown out a long time ago.

So, the two of us will drink out of there glasses, one for her parents.

If you go over to my history blog at http://cootershistorything.blogspot, you can see Ten Fascinating Facts About Christmas.
