JSS-- Just Some Stuff
1. SCARY-- Had to bring the Malibu into Ray Chevrolet yesterday as the check engine light was on. Turned out the engine had done a check on itself and did it while I had the gas cap off putting in $3.60 gallons of the stuff.
No charge, AND, they washed the car.
2. WEIRD THUMB EPIDEMIC-- Ate at Tommy's tonight and noticed a family of four come in. Never saw one of the kids look up from their cell phone and thumbs moving real fast. The older son was on his phone off and on and father every so often.
Is this what family dining out has come to?
3. GOODBYE BORDERS-- The bookstore chain Borders declared bankruptcy and shut down 200 stores. Unfortunately, the one in McHenry that I use was one of them. They want me to drive some thirty miles away to use ones that remain. Seriously doubt that will happen. And I try to avoid doing stuff over the internet.
4. SAVED TWO CENTS ON GAS-- I was amazed that the price of gas HAD ACTUALLY DROPPED TWO CENTS TO $3.58 today. What a deal. Are the GRB folks at Big Oil, investors and Middle East gone soft?
They can raise it by 10-15 cents instantly, but does it ever take a long time to drop.
