Here in North Carolina-- Part 4-- No Joy in Tarheel State

This has been a hard four days on the rabid Carolina and Duke fans in this basketball-crazy state.

Thursday night, they had to endure Duke's complete collapse versus Arizona. How could they blow an 11-point lead like that? So, those Cameron Crazies are now the Cameron Cryers.

Then, yesterday, the Carolina Tarheels met a similar fate, a loss to Kentucky. There was a five-point plateau the Tarheels just couldn't surmount for most of the game. They were down by nine by the time we got to the Oak Ridge Boys concert in Kenansville.

After Billy Dean played, someone came on the p.a. and said the game was tied, but that was the last we heard of the game. When we got back to cousin Graham's place, we watched the last ten minutes which he had recorded and they did tie it up, but unfortunately lost.

Graham was even so unhappy that he said he was going to erase the game. But, Graham, they still lost.
