Where Were You March 6, 1965?-- Part 2

One thing about the short songs of 1965, you can really play a lot of them in an hour and a half. Stroud played 25 tunes during that time.

STRANGER IN TOWN-- DEL SHANNON-- Always thought that Springsteen gave it a hard listen before he composed "Born to Run." (A great, little-known song.)
LAND OF 1000 DANCES-- CANNIBAL AND THE HEADHUNTERS-- their version of the song. West Coast band. (Na, na,na,na,na and a whole lot of nas.)

STOP IN THE NAME OF LOVE-- SUPREMES-- Motown. latest release out of Detroit. (Loved the choreography of this song and those tight dresses.)
LAUGH LAUGH-- BEAU BRUMMELS-- From San Francisco. (One of my all-time favorite songs.)

DON'T LET ME BE MISUNDERSTOOD-- ANIMALS--
IT'S ALRIGHT-- ADAM FAITH AND THE ROULETTES-- Barnstorming with the British Invasion and sounding a lot like the Dave Clark Five on that one.

AROUND AND AROUND-- ROLLING STONES-- Latest album by the group 12 by 5, out for a couple months now and this was the lead off track done originally by Chuck Berry.
MIDNIGHT SPECIAL-- JOHNNY RIVERS-- years later, this served as the theme for the for the NBC weekend music show, the Midnight Hour.
